Terms of Use — FrenchDirect

By creating an account or using FrenchDirect ("the app"), you agree to these terms. The app is operated by Gurdarshan Singh, Manitoba, Canada.

The service

FrenchDirect provides French-learning content — lessons, flashcards, dictionaries, quizzes, and an AI Tutor — in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Filipino. Free accounts access limited content; a Premium subscription unlocks the full catalogue.

Subscriptions & billing

• Premium is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions (currently monthly and 3-month plans). Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, per your store's rules.
• Cancelling: manage or cancel anytime in your store's subscription settings (also reachable from Account → Manage Subscription in the app). After cancelling, Premium remains active until the end of the period already paid; no further charges occur.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

AI Tutor

The AI Tutor is powered by an automated language model and is subject to a daily message limit. Responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate — it is a learning aid, not a substitute for professional instruction. Do not submit sensitive personal information.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to bypass content protection or subscription checks, sharing one account across many people or devices, reverse-engineering, scraping content, or using the service unlawfully. Accounts may be limited or suspended for abuse. One account is intended for one learner; device-change limits apply to protect against account sharing.

Content & intellectual property

All app content (lessons, translations, pronunciations, dictionaries, design) is owned by FrenchDirect or its licensors and provided for your personal, non-commercial learning use.

Disclaimers & liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding three months. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

Account deletion & termination

You may delete your account anytime from Account → Delete Account. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law
